jamii

jamii combines flexible content management with social networking applications to grow online communities.

jamii is a content management software (cms) used to create and maintain complete websites or smaller micro-sites. jamii is completely integrated with our other software applications: inserting e-activist campaigns or netdonor forms is simple.

jamii also provides access to functional components to help you build online communities and social networks. The current 'supporter account and login' component is the first of these to be released. Additional components are being developed for release this year: photo gallery, local meeting manager, blogging tool, group facilitator, and community messaging. We are also creating tools to aggregate jamii site content and user generated content to personal supporter pages.

Some of the key features of jamii currently available include:

  • create HTML templates with complete control over styling and structure (a single jamii account can be used to generate different templates and multiple websites)
  • position navigation blocks within HTML templates using tags making it simple to add or remove menu items via the software dashboard without needing HTML coding knowledge
  • insert items into navigation blocks using drag and drop functionality

jamii

  • apply optional navigation behaviours (e.g. parent / child, vertical expanding, horizontal expanding)
  • use page editors to apply styles and insert images stored in the account library
  • insert forms and store data using the same database infrastructure as e-activist and netdonor
  • add a login component for supporters to create accounts, login, and trigger a password re-set
  • create pages within your websites accessible only to logged in supporters, or create public pages with some content accessible only to logged in supporters
  • add a 'account page' for supporters to allow them to update their details and preferences
  • manage the accounts created for your websites (prevent unrestricted account creation)
