30,000 feet above sea levelSubmitted by Graham on Sat Apr 25, 2009 I'm writing this entry 30,000 feet above sea level on a Virgin America flight to San Francisco. Amazing that I can get wifi access on a plane for $12.95 for the entire 5 hour flight! The speed is really good. I'm on my way to San Francisco for the big NTEN annual conference that brings together over 1,400 people working with technology and the Internet from the nonprofit sector. Delegates coming to NTEN have a wide variety of backgrounds and jobs: e-fundraising, e-advocacy, online marketing, database and IT infrastructure, bloggers, consultants, designers, etc, etc. It's my first trip to the event so I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and picking up the latest buzz. NTEN marks our official launch in the United States. In the pre-launch demos done so far groups here really like the extent to which you can customize our software. I'm sure we will pick up some more feedback and input form the delegates at NTEN. We're also trying to promote our DC launch event as well which is happening in the evening on June 2nd. I'll be blogging from the conference as well, so make sure you pick up the RSS feed for my blog! |
