The turnout was fantastic for this year's launch event of the e-campaigning ideas guide.  Over 50 people from the sector dropped by La Trouvaille in SOHO to hear presentations by e-campaigning experts at Peta, the NSPCC, Age Concern, and the National Autistic Society.  Many thanks to Allan, Sarah, Lisa, and Esmee for their time and effort!

America Votes 2008

It's been a very, very busy start to the autumn.  With the Canadian election just over, there is still more than 2 weeks to run in the US contest.

For the first year ever, we released a special election widget in Canada to enable supporters of advocacy groups to contact their candidates.  A lot of groups used the technology, and overall we generated more than 150,000 emails to candidates standing for election to the Canadian House of Commons.

Third Sector magazine published an article this week about a speech from philanthropist and investment banker John Studzinski.  Mr. Studzinski said that charities should focus less on fundraising and more on outreach to attract major donors during a recession.
